On 15th May 2025, Major General K.M.P.S.B Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, Commander Security Forces (Wanni), embarked on a visit to several prominent historical and religious sites in Anuradhapura.
As part of his itinerary, the Commander paid homage at the sacred Sadahiru Seya. At an auspicious moment, he ceremonially unveiled a replica of the Samadhi Buddha statue, which has been placed in front of the southern gate of the stupa.
The General Officer Commanding of the 21 Infantry Division, the Commander of the 212 Infantry Brigade, Senior Officers, Sadahiru Seya Officials and staff, as well as a large gathering of devotees participated in the occasion.
Following the ceremony, Commander Security Forces (Wanni), continued his visit to other significant religious sites within the Security Forces (Wanni) Area of Responsibility. These included Mirisawetiya, Jethawanaramaya, Jayanthi Viharaya, and Rasvehera Aranya Senasanaya. At each location, he paid his respects and received blessings from the chief monks presiding over these revered monasteries.
