The Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, paid an administrative visit to the Army Base Hospital in Minneriya on Friday (09). During the visit, he conducted a detailed inspection of the former Infantry Training Centre (ITC) Headquarters building, as well as the current Outpatients Department (OPD), wards, and the PULHEEMS section.
Particular attention was given to the proposed relocation of the medical facility, dental department, admissions section and OPD section to the former ITC Headquarters building during the inspection.
The visit also included an assessment of the new site for the ITC motor shooting simulator, ensuring the relocation of hospital facilities would not disrupt ongoing training activities at ITC.
The Chief Instructor of the Infantry Training Centre and the Commanding Officer of the 5th Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps, along with their respective staff, accompanied the Deputy Chief of Staff during the visit.
