Troops of the 9th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry (9 SLLI) of the 511 Infantry Brigade constructed a new house for a needy family in Kadduwan on 07 May 2025, under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of the 51 Infantry Division.
The initiative was sponsored by Mr. Junesh and Sumi Chinniah, facilitated by Vanni Aid Canada and coordinated by Major General Ravi Rathnasingham (Retd).
Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and symbolically handed over the keys to the beneficiary.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, government officials and residents in the area participated in the event.
