The Sri Lanka Army hosted an initial planning conference with a visiting Russian military delegation on 28 April 2025 at the Army Headquarters, under the guidance of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc.
During the session, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions aimed at sharing tactical expertise, operational experiences and best practices to enhance counter terrorist capabilities. Further, both parties shared commitment to promote greater interoperability, strengthening capacity, and deepening mutual understanding between the two nations.
The event concluded with the formal exchange of commemorative plaques.
