SLCMP Celebrates its 35th Anniversary

The Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) celebrated its 35th Anniversary with a series of events conducted under the guidance of Major General U.L.J.S Perera RSP USP nps psc, the Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of SLCMP, on 25 April 2025.

Upon arrival, the Colonel Commandant was accorded a Guard Turnout at the entrance followed by ceremonial parade. The event concluded with an All-Ranks lunch and All-Ranks get-together during the evening hours.

Additionally, on 14 March 2025, the SLCMP commemorated its fallen War Heroes at the War Heroes Monument of the 2nd Regiment of SLCMP in Giritale. On 27 March 2025, a pirith chanting ceremony, followed by an alms-giving (Heel Daana) and the offering of Pirikara to the Maha Sangha, was conducted at the Regimental Centre of SLCMP.
