Suspect Arrested with a Stock of Kerala Cannabis Based on Information from Army Intelligence

Based on information received from the Military Intelligence Corps, an operation was conducted by the Kilinochchi Special Task Force and Kilinochchi Police on 16 April 2025. During the operation, 85 kilogrammes (40 parcels) of Kerala cannabis, valued at approximately Rs. 15 million and hidden in a house in Dharmapuram area, Puliyapokkanei, Kilinochchi, were seized.

A 28 years old suspect from Uduvil, Jaffna, along with a modified lorry allegedly used for narcotics transportation, was taken into custody.

Further investigations are being carried out by the Kilinochchi Police Station.
