Newly-Promoted Major General Receives the Symbol of Authority

Major General B.M.R.J Bandara of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment in the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, recently promoted to his new rank, received his symbol of authority and greetings from Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, the Commander of the Army, during a formal courtesy call held on 16th April 2025 at the Army Headquarters.

The Commander of the Army extended his heartiest congratulations and best wishes to the newly promoted Major General, who has dedicated more than three decades of service to the nation.

Following the cordial interactions, the Commander of the Army presented the Senior Officer with the symbolic General’s sword, signifying his new authority as a two-star General.
