The certificate awarding ceremony for the Career Development and Leadership Refresher Course was held at Army Headquarters on 04 April 2025. Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
The event proceedings commenced with an introductory video presentation, providing the audience with an overview of the course’s objectives and the significance of leadership and drill instruction in military training.
Following this, the Army Chief, along with other distinguished guests, participated in the certificate awarding segment, during which 123 successful course participants were recognised for their dedication and excellence. The course was conducted at the Combat Training School (CTS) – Ampara from 24 February 2025 to 25 March 2025.
Addressing the gathering, the Army Chief congratulated the course participants and emphasised the importance of continuous learning and professional development in the Army. He highlighted how refresher courses play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of discipline, leadership and tactical efficiency among military personnel.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Warrant Officer I P.C Dehigaspitiya USP of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps. The Deputy Chief of Staff, Principal Staff Officers, the Commanding Officer and representatives from CTS – Ampara, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were also present on the occasion.
