GW-SVB Conducts Health Camp for War Heroes' Families

Under the guidance of Mrs (Dr.) Dilrukshi Wimalarathne, Chairperson of the Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch (GW-SVB), a health camp themed "Let’s Protect Her" was conducted on 29 March 2025. The event, held in collaboration with the Provincial Director of Health Services Office in Rathnapura and the Medical Officer of Health in Kuruvita, aimed to provide vital medical screenings and health awareness.

The camp focused on breast and cervical cancer screenings, along with other health assessments such as Body Mass Index (BMI) measurements and blood glucose tests. Over 120 family members of GW war heroes received medical consultations. Additionally, the Chairperson donated a walking crutch to the mother of a soldier with a leg-related disability.

Colonel of the Regiment - GW, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, medical staff and the families of war heroes participated in the programme.
