Troops of the 54 Infantry Division conducted a donation programme on 30 March 2025 at the Diocesan Center, Mannar, distributing dry ration packs to low-income families and maternity aid to pregnant mothers. The initiative was financially supported by Mr. and Mrs. Seah Wong Chi and foreign well-wishers, coordinated by the Sarana Buddhist Foundation.
On the same day, the Sarana Buddhist Foundation organized an alms-giving programme at Mathotta Rajamaha Viharaya, offering alms to 60 monks of the Rajarata Buddhist Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka with the assistance of 10 (V) Gemunu Watch troops. The foundation also donated Rs. 10,000.00 each to support the monks' studies.
Major General K.M.P.S.B Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, Commander, Security Forces (Wanni), attended the event as the Chief Guest. The event carried out under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of the 54 Infantry Division.
