The Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General K.P.A Jayasekara (Retd) WWV RSP VSV USP ndc psc, together with Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, paid their final respects to the late Major General P.I Pathirathne (Retd) of the Gemunu Watch, at a solemn ceremony held at the Borella General Cemetery on Monday afternoon, 31 March 2025.
The event was attended by the Chief of Staff, retired Senior Officers, Senior Officers and numerous mourners who gathered to honour the distinguished military leader.
