A special workshop on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Detection and Prevention was conducted on 5 March 2025 at the Cinema Hall of the Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) under the guidance of Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna).
A distinguished panel of medical professionals, including Brigadier R.M.M Monaragala USP, Brigadier A.S.M Wijewardena (Retd), and Captain H.H.D.I.L Hettiarachchi, conducted the workshop, covering topics on early detection, management, and prevention of NCDs such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases. Participants also received insights into lifestyle modifications, dietary practices, and medical interventions.
