Loyola College, Negombo, held its annual sports meet on 28 February 2025. Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
Upon arrival, the Commander of the Army was warmly welcomed by Rev. Fr. D.M.J Kennedy Perera, Principal of Loyola College, followed by a ceremonial salute from the school cadet team.
The event commenced with a relay race followed by an impressive march past. During the medal award ceremony, the Army Chief presented medals and prizes to the winners, recognising outstanding performers and the winning houses.
Subsequently, the Principal of the school presented a plaque to the Army Chief as a token of appreciation to commemorate the occasion.
