On the occasion of the 77th Independence Day, the 51 Infantry Division, under the guidance of Major General M.P.N.A Muthumala USP psc, General Officer Commanding, conducted a cleaning programme at St. Teresa Elders' Home on 04 February 2025.
Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), made an observation visit during the programme.
Additionally, lunch was provided to the residents, and sanitary items were donated for the use of the Elders’ Home. As the second phase of the initiative, a special lunch was arranged for 150 children in the Kopay area.
