Major General W.P.A.D.W. Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel of the Regiment of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR), paid an official visit to the 11th Battalion of the SLSR on 23rd January 2025.
Upon his arrival, he was warmly received by the Commanding Officer, Major B.R.M.G.W.A.R. Balagalla, followed by a drive-pass salute presented by the troops of the 11 SLSR in his honour.
During his visit, the Colonel of the Regiment addressed the troops, sharing his vision, thoughts, and encouragement for their future endeavours. His address emphasized the importance of discipline, dedication, and commitment to duty.
As a token of appreciation and to commemorate the occasion, the Commanding Officer presented a special memento to the Colonel of the Regiment. Following the event, the Senior Officer inscribed his remarks in the Visitors’ Book, marking his visit as a significant milestone for the battalion.
The Centre Commandant, Brigadier C.S. Thibbotuge, along with Senior Officers from the Regimental Centre of SLSR, Officers, and Other Ranks, were present for the occasion.
