Troops of the 9 (V) Engineer Services Regiment (9 ESR), under the instructions and approval of the Ministry of Defence and the guidance of the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, successfully completed the construction of the Rural Hospital at Pansiyagama, Melsiripura, in the Kurunegala District.
The project was initiated on 26th June 2022 and troops of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and the Sri Lanka National Guard gave their assistance to complete the project with the supervision of the Directorate of Engineer Services. The completed building was officially vested in the hospital authorities on 31st December 2024, marking a significant milestone in enhancing healthcare services in the area.
