Under the guidance of Commander of the Army, Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Commandant (Overlooking) of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), addressed SLAVF Officers on 21st January 2025, focusing on aligning military efforts with the “Clean Sri Lanka” initiative, launched by HE the President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
He stressed the importance of discipline, the need to combat unethical practices, and the value of genuine officer-soldier engagement to ensure the Army’s traditions and reputation remain intact. Linking these principles to the initiative, he urged Officers to lead by example and foster a culture of professionalism and mutual respect.
The address concluded with a call for unity and proactive contributions toward the nation’s progress, highlighting the pivotal role of the SLAVF in shaping a disciplined and sustainable future.
