Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE), addressed Senior Officers and Officers of the Corps on 20th January 2025 at the Home of Sappers, Mattegoda.
In his address, he highlighted the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ initiative, a concept aligned with the vision of the Commander of the Army and the Government’s sustainable development goals. He urged Officers to inspire their troops to embrace innovation, foster collaboration, and contribute to environmental and ethical progress.
The Colonel Commandant also emphasised the importance of upholding the Army’s core values and prioritising the wellbeing of soldiers by addressing their health and hygiene needs.
Concluding his speech, he reminded Officers of their responsibility to exhibit dedication, knowledge, and courage in fulfilling their duties and meeting the Nation’s expectations.
