Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Commandant (Overlooking) of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), visited the 5th (V) Battalion of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry, 2nd (V) Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, 4th (V) Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, and the 1st Sri Lanka Rifle Corps on 16th January 2025.
Upon arrival, the visiting Senior Officer was accorded a drive pass and welcomed by the Commanding Officers at each battalion. During the visit, he inspected facilities, addressed all Ranks at 5 (V) SLLI, and emphasized the importance of discipline, emotional resilience, and physical strength. He highlighted the “Clean Sri Lanka” initiative revitalized under the Army Commander’s leadership.
The he planted a sapling at the 1 SLRC and 4 (V) SLAOC to mark the occasion, and he left remarks in the visitors’ books, concluding the visit.
