Army Troops Evacuate Two Villagers from Flooded Area

Two villagers in Ellewewa, Kebithigollawa, became stranded due to adverse weather conditions on 19th January 2025. Troops from the 5th (V) Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment promptly carried out a rescue operation, ensuring their safety and providing immediate assistance.

The operation was conducted on the instructions of the Commander, Security Forces (W), under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 21 Infantry Division, and closely supervised by the Commander, 211 Infantry Brigade.
