The Army Inter Regiment Golf Championship concluded on 15th January 2025 at the Golf Club, Nuwara Eliya. Over the course of two intense days, players from 12 different regiments and more than 100 players from the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) showcased their exceptional skills and determination.
Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Commandant (Overlooking) of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, Commander of Security Force Headquarters (West), and Chairman of the Sri Lanka Army Golf Committee, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
After a series of closely contested encounters, the Gemunu Watch emerged as champions in the Men's Open Team Championship, with the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers securing the runners-up position. In the Women’s Championship, the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps claimed the Women’s Open title, while the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers finished as runners-up.
Brigadier T.D.P Siriwardhana psc, Vice Chairman of the Sri Lanka Army Golf Committee, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks, joined the awarding ceremony.
