Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, the Commander of the Army, paid a formal courtesy call on the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Hon. Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, at her office in Colombo on 16th January 2025.
During the discussion, the Prime Minister congratulated the Commander of the Army on his new appointment and extended her best wishes for his future endeavours. She also emphasised the military's vital role in maintaining national security and contributing to the nation’s progress, while reaffirming the Army's steadfast support for the government.
As a gesture of goodwill, the Commander of the Army presented a memento to the Prime Minister during the cordial meeting.
