Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE), addressed Officers, Other Ranks, and Civilian Staff at the Regimental Centre, Panagoda, and the Home of Sappers, Mattegoda, on 07th January 2025.
In his address, he highlighted the importance of discipline, integrity, and professionalism in maintaining national stability. He also emphasised the significance of the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ initiative. This initiative seeks to promote sustainability through ethical practices and a commitment to progress, urging troops to embrace innovation and responsibility.
The Senior Officer aligned the Corps’ efforts with the Commander of the Army ’s goals for professional and technological advancement, encouraging continuous learning to maintain the Corps’ reputation for excellence. He concluded by extending New Year wishes, fostering unity and purpose as the Corps embarks on the challenges of 2025.
