Commandant, SLAVF Visits Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Training School

Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), visited the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Training School (SLAVFTS) on 20 December 2024.

Upon arrival, the Commandant was welcomed by Colonel J.A.J Jayaratne KSP, the Commandant of SLAVFTS, and then accorded a Drive Pass. Addressing the troops, the Commandant highlighted the importance of modernising training methods to meet national demands. He expressed gratitude to the staff for their dedication to raising the training school's standards and extended best wishes to course participants.

Afterwards, he planted a sapling and posed for group photographs, adding memorable moments to the visit. As a gesture of appreciation, the Commandant was presented with a momento.
