Troops of 59 Infantry Division Conduct an Artificial Limb Donation Programme

An artificial limb donation programme for civilians in Mullaitivu area was held at 12 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment Headquarters premises on 18 December 2024 under the direction of Major General J.P.C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander, Security Forces (Wanni) and the guidance of Major General D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, General Officer Commanding of 59 Infantry Division in collaboration with Australian High Commission and Centre for Handicapped.

Accordingly, 23 differently-abled personnel were provided with artificial limbs after scrutinizing their health conditions. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and civilians participated in the event.
