Under the guidance of Brigadier K.A.D.T.P. Wimalasena RWP RSP, Commander of 143 Infantry Brigade, and the supervision of the Commanding Officer of 16 Gajaba Regiment (GR), the troops conducted a Mangrove planting programme at Kalpitiya, Amothattam area on 13 December 2024.
The initiative was conducted in collaboration with Linea Aqua Private Limited. During the program, 10,000 mangrove saplings were planted. One Officer and thirty Other Ranks participated in the program.
