Security Forces (West) Hosts a Lecture

The Security Forces Headquarters (West) hosted a lecture on "The Current Issues of Dangerous Drug Use in Sri Lanka" as part of the training day programme, under the guidance of Major General A.H.L.G. Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Commander, Security Forces (West), at the 4th Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery on 12 December 2024.

The lecture was conducted by Mr. I.M.C.P. Karunarathne, the Media Spokesman and Education/Information Officer of the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (Ministry of Public Security), and Mrs. S. Nilmini Abeysekara, a Counseling Psychologist.

During the lecture, topics such as drug risk mitigation, preventive strategies, and the psychological impact of substance abuse were discussed. A total of 08 Officers and 102 Other Rankers participated in the training session.
