The 14 (V) Battalion of the Gemunu Watch (GW) successfully completed the Battalion Training Course at the Infantry Battalion Training School in Galkulama on 5 December 2024.
The event was graced by Major General D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, the General Officer Commanding of the 59 Infantry Division, as the Chief Guest and delivered the closing remarks.
The course, attended by 11 Officers and 378 Other Ranks, recognized the following achievements:
- Best Shooter: Lance Corporal A.P.S.P. Gunathilaka
- All-Round Best Student: Corporal W.S. Wasantha
- Best Company: 'A' Company
- Best Section Commander: Corporal S.W. Rathnayaka
- Best Physical Fitness: Infantryman H.M.R.T. Madushanka
