The Sri Lanka Army Women’s Baseball Team emerged as champions of the National League Baseball Tournament – 2024, defeating the Sri Lanka Navy Women’s Team by 18 to 8 points on 01 December 2024 at the Diyagama Baseball Ground.
The tournament was commenced on 01 September 2024 and the Army team participated in the tournament under the guidance of Major General W.L.A.C Perera RWP RSP USP, Chairman of the Army Baseball Committee and General Officer Commanding of 24 Infantry Division.
Lance Corporal M.M.G.G Gayani Bandara was honoured as the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament, while Sergeant K.M.S.S Wimalarathne received the Best Batter award, and Corporal W.N Samanmali was named Best Catcher.
Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks were present to witness this tournament.
