14 SLSR Constructs New Home for Needy Family in Hulannuge

Troops of the 14 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) constructed a new house for a needy family in Hulannuge under the supervision of Major H.P. Perera, the overlooking Commanding Officer of the 14 SLSR.

Brigadier K.P.L. Amunupura RWP RSP USP, Commander of the 242 Infantry Brigade, attended the housewarming ceremony as the Chief Guest. During the ceremony, the Chief Guest handed over the house key to the beneficiary on 26 November 2024.

The house was constructed with financial assistance from the Housing Development Authority.

Additionally, a distribution programme was organised to distribute maternity aid for pregnant mothers residing in the Lahugala and Hulannuge areas, with financial support provided by the head of Bay Vista Hotel, Arugam Bay.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
