Chief of Staff Inaugurates a New House for a Needy Family in Kandy

Major General W.P.A.D.W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR), officially inaugurated a newly constructed house for a needy family in Kandy on 09 November 2024. This project was initiated under the guidance of the Commander of the Army, in line with the 75th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army.

The troops of 6 SLSR, under the supervision of Lieutenant Colonel E.J.B.U.P Egodagedara USP psc, Commanding Officer of 6 SLSR, completed the construction of the home for this needy family.

During the ceremony, the Chief Guest officially handed over the house key to the beneficiary, amidst religious observances. This project was made possible through the generous financial contributions from all units of the SLSR.
