Israeli Defence Attaché Pays Courtesy Call on Army Chief

The Defence Attaché at the Embassy of Israel in New Delhi, who also serves as the Defence Attaché to Sri Lanka, Colonel Avihay Zafrany, paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army, on Tuesday (5).

During their discussions, the Israel Defence Attaché shared insights on the longstanding bilateral cooperation between Israel and Sri Lanka. They further, discussed about the contemporary security challenges. The conversation emphasised the potential for further collaboration, especially in military cooperation and the exchange of technical expertise.

In a gesture of goodwill, the Army Chief presented a special memento to Colonel Avihay Zafrany. The gesture was reciprocated.
