Major General Y.A.B.M. Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander of Security Forces - Central (SF - Central), visited the 12 Infantry Division, 121 Infantry Brigade, 122 Infantry Brigade, 20 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, 18 Gemunu Watch, 12 Gajaba Regiment, and 3 Sri Lanka National Guard on 30 and 31 October 2024.
Upon his arrival at each location, he was warmly welcomed by Major General P.K.W.W.M.J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division, along with the Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers of Battalions. He was then accorded Guard Turnouts by the troops at each location.
To mark the visit, the Commander of SF (Central) posed for photographs and planted sandalwood saplings at the division headquarters and other locations. Later, the Commander of Security Forces (Central) was comprehensively briefed by the GOC, Commanders of Brigades, and Commanding Officers.
Afterwards, he addressed the troops, highlighting the importance of engaging responsibly with social media, refraining from illegal activities, and managing personal finances effectively.
During the visit, he also visited the President’s House in Katharagama and Laya Hotel in Yala. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the visit.
