Visit of SLAF Student Officers and Other Ranks to SLSME

Student Officers and Other Ranks from the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) following the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Basic Course visited the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering (SLSME) on 31 October 2024.

This visit allowed both local and foreign students to observe Improvised Explosive Device (IED) disposal techniques and explore the training model room. Colonel J.A.C.S. Jagoda psc, the Commandant of SLSME, welcomed the group, and Major L.L.C.S. Cabral psc, Chief Instructor of SLSME, introduced the school’s vision and the role of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers in national defence.

The Field Engineering Wing showcased live IED disposal demonstrations using modern techniques. At the conclusion of the visit, mementoes were exchanged.
