The 8 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (8 SLSR) celebrated its 32nd anniversary with a series of events held at the battalion’s premises on 16 October 2024, under the guidance of Major S.K.L.P.K. Silva RWP RSP USP, the Commanding Officer of 8 SLSR.
The day’s formalities commenced with a flag-blessing ceremony to invoke blessings on the unit flags. As part of the celebrations, 8 SLSR organized an inter-company cricket and volleyball tournament.
In addition, 8 SLSR troops conducted a cleaning programme at the Teaching Hospital - Kegalle, enhancing the hospital environment for patients and staff. The anniversary events concluded with an all-rank lunch and get-together
