Commander of 1 Corps Visits 58 Infantry Division and Under Command Brigades and Battalions

Major General M.T.I Mahalekam WWV RWP RSP USP ndu psc, Commander of 1 Corps, visited the 58 Infantry Division, 583 and 581 Infantry Brigades, Headquarters of the Commando Brigade, 4 Commando Regiment and 5 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment on 26, 28, 29 October 2024.

Upon arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Senior Officers at each location and accorded a Guard Turnout by troops. He then received detailed briefings on the deployment, duties, and responsibilities at each site.

During his visit, the Senior Officer inspected the Division, Brigades and Battalions before posing for a group photograph and planting a sapling on the camp premises.

While addressing the troops at each location, Commander 1 Corps discussed key issues, including the importance of avoiding unauthorized activities, maintaining a healthy work-life balance, upholding military discipline, proactive planning, and operational readiness in support of the 1 Corps mission.

Before departing, the visiting Senior Officer left complimentary remarks in the visitors' book.
