The Eye Unit of Teaching Hospital Jaffna, in collaboration with the Army Base Hospital-Palaly, successfully conducted a special cataract surgery program from 14 to 25 October 2024 at Teaching Hospital, Jaffna. This initiative provided over 2,000 free, high-quality cataract surgeries to patients from rural areas in the Northern Province, under the guidance of Dr. M. Malaravan and a team of five consultant eye surgeons.
Senior Officers, Officers, the Director of Teaching Hospital-Jaffna, the Regional Director of Health Services-Jaffna and Other Ranks, were present to mark the programme's conclusion.
