Under the guidance of Major General W.M.S.C.K Wanasinghe RSP USP, the General Officer Commanding of the 21 Infantry Division a lecture on CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) was organized at the 21 Infantry Division Headquarters on 23 October 2024.
The lecture aimed to educate military personnel on life-saving procedures during emergency cardiac arrest situations.
A team of doctors from the Teaching Hospital Anuradhapura, headed by Consultant Anaesthetist Dr. Vishaka Kerner (MBBS, MD, FRCA, MRes) and Dr. Lewan Kariyavasam (MBBS, MD), conducted the session.
20 Officers and 150 Soldiers from the 21 Infantry Division and the 212 Infantry Brigade participated in the training programme.
