591 Infantry Brigade Conducts Beach Cleaning Programme

A beach cleaning programme was conducted on 07 October 2024, in line with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, under the guidance of Major General D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, General Officer Commanding of 59 Infantry Division and the supervision of Brigadier M.J Ubeysekera RSP psc, Commander of 591 Infantry Brigade.

The initiative conducted with the participation of 58 personnel, comprising 8 Officers and 50 soldiers from the 12 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, 10 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, and the 591 Infantry Brigade. Together, they engaged in cleaning the Mullaitivu beach, successfully covering a coastline of 1,500 metres.
