Coinciding with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, troops of the 7 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment laid the foundation stone for a new house for a needy Family in J/ 328 Kodikamam South GN Division on 10 October 2024.
The initiative was conducted under the guidance of Major General P.R Pathiravithana USAWC psc, General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division and supervision of Colonel S.M.C.A.S Samarathunga RSP, Commander of 523 Infantry Brigade.
Generous donors from the Charity Organization, Pastor A. Arul and members have promised to extended the financial sponsorship for the construction, which will be carried out by Army troops.
The General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division participated in the event as the Chief Guest.
Members of the Charity organization Pastor, A Arul and members of the Christian religious leaders, Senior Officers, Officers Other Ranks, family members and villagers were present at the occasion.
