In line with the 75th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, troops from the 2 Engineer Services Regiment (2 ESR) renovated a home for a deserving family in Tissawewa West, Anuradhapura. The housewarming ceremony, held on 15 October 2024, was graced by Major General J.P.C. Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander of the Security Forces (Wanni), as the Chief Guest. The renovation was conducted under the guidance of Major General T.A. Peiris ptsc, Logistics Commander (Wanni) and supervision of Major H.M.S.J. Bandara, Commanding Officer of 2 ESR.
Simultaneously, troops of the 5 Sri Lanka Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) renovated a home for a needy family in Mankadawala, which was also vested in the beneficiary on the same day. The project was supervised by Major M.G.D.C. Sikurajapathi USP psc Lsc, Commanding Officer of 5 SLEME.
Meanwhile, another renovated home was vested in a needy family in Parasangaswewa. This project was carried out under the guidance of Major M.G.E.M. Abeykoon psc Lsc AATO, Commanding Officer of the 2 Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps.
