Troops of the 12 Infantry Division took part in a blood donation campaign organised by the Royal College Red Cross Society at the Blood Bank of District General Hospital, Hambantota, on 12 October 2024.
Under the supervision of Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura, RWP RSP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division, Army personnel from Division Headquarters, 122 Infantry Brigade, the 20 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, the 3 Sri Lanka National Guard, along with local civilians, donated blood during the event. Medical teams from the hospital's Blood Bank ensured the smooth conduct of the programme.
