Celebrating World Children’s Day at Viru Kekulu Pre School

In celebration of World Children’s Day under the theme “Let’s Protect Children – Treat Them Equally,” a special event was held for children at Viru Kekulu Pre School, Panagoda, at the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Auditorium on 1 October 2024. The event was conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Surangi Amarapala, the Lady in Charge of the preschool, and Major General A.H.L.G. Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Commander of the Security Forces (West).

The celebration commenced with a welcome speech by one of the children, followed by a lively array of performances that showcased the talents of the preschoolers. The Bank of Ceylon – Homagama, Maliban Biscuits, and La Foresta Private Limited sponsored the event. Gifts and educational materials were distributed among the children during the programme.

Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the event.
