Beach Cleaning Programme Organized by 512 Infantry Brigade

The 512 Infantry Brigade organized a beach cleaning programme on 4 October 2024, to mark the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army.

The event, conducted under the guidance of Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander of Security Forces (Jaffna), and supervised by Major General W.B.J.K Wimalaratne RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding, 51 Infantry Division, and Brigadier M.P.S.P Kulasekara WWV RWP RSP, Commander of the 512 Infantry Brigade, targeted a 3-kilometer stretch of the Jaffna Lagoon's polluted coastline.

The programme aimed to raise awareness about marine conservation and involved various participants, including Hon. Governor of the Northern Province, government officials, and local representatives.
