A fire that broke out in the Haldummulla forest reserve was swiftly controlled by the troops of 23 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment on 19 July 2024.
Under the directions of Commander of Security Forces - Central, two Officers and twenty-four Other Ranks took prompt action to extinguish the rapidly spreading blaze. Their effective response prevented further damage to the reserve.
