SLAC Bids Farewell to Former Adjutant General

The Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) bade farewell to Major General W.W.H.R.R.V.M.N.D.K.B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, the former Adjutant General of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps, on 12 July 2024 at the SLAC Regiment.

Upon arrival, he was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer of the 1st Reconnaissance Regiment and then accorded a Guard Turnout. Following this, he was honoured in a Guard of Honour in accordance with military traditions.

Afterwards, the Senior Officer addressed the troops of SLAC and later joined an All Ranks tea arrangement. He was then awarded a street lining farewell by Officers and Other Ranks. The day's events concluded with a farewell dinner at the Officers' Mess.
