With the coordination of Major General S.A Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, the Commander Security Forces - East (SF-East) and the close supervision of Major S.P.I.H Senanayake psc Lsc, the Commanding Officer of 4th Battalion of the Gemunu Watch (GW), foundation stone was laid to construct a fully equipped house for a needy family on 12 July 2024 at Sitthandi by Brigadier R.P.S Prasad RWP RSP USP the Commander 232 Infantry Brigade during a simple ceremony.
Mrs. Vathani Mohanashakar, Managing Director of Oman Lanka Mineral Exploration Private Limited in Kaikawala, Mathale, generously sponsored Rs. 1.4 million for the project, which will be executed by the troops of 4 Gemunu Watch. The event was attended by Senior Officers, Other Ranks, and the beneficiaries, underscoring a collaborative effort towards addressing local housing needs while supporting community welfare in SF-East.
