The 10 (Volunteer) Gamunu Watch (GW) troops completed their Battalion Training Course at the Battalion Training School, Alankulam on 09 July 2024. 13 Officers and 426 Other Ranks of the 10 (V) GW participated in the two-month long course.
Corporal H.A.D.D. Weerasinghe was awarded as the Best Student, Lance Corporal R.G.N.K. Roopasinghe was recognised as Best Shooter, and Lance Corporal K.W.L. Madusanka was awarded as the Best in Physical Fitness. Additionally, “A” Company was named Best Company, Second Platoon of “C” Company was recognised as Best Platoon, and Second Section of Second Platoon of “C” Company was named Best Section.
The Commander, Security Forces - Wanni, delivered the closing remarks. The General Officer Commanding 54 Infantry Division, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the ceremony.
