Newly Promoted Major Generals Call on the Army Chief

Recently promoted Major Generals of the Sri Lanka Army paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu on 10 July 2024.

The list of newly promoted Senior Officers included Major General R.M.P.S.B Rathnayake ndc, Major General R.P.A.R.P Rajapaksa RSP, Major General D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, Major General V.D.S Perera, Major General P.K.W.W.M.J.S.B.W Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, Major General K.A.U Kodituwakku RSP USP psc IG, Major General S.A.N Ariyasena and Major General G.L.S.W Liyanage USP psc.

During the interactions, the Commander of the Army presented each Senior Officer with a General's sword, symbolizing their new authority and congratulated them on their career achievements. The event concluded with the Senior Officers expressing their gratitude to the Commander and posing for several photos to mark the occasion.
