Thirty-three patients from the Thalaseemia Unit of General Hospital, Anuradhapura, visited Security Forces – Jaffna (SF-J) on 06 and 07 July 2024. They were warmly welcomed by Staff Officers of SF-J at the Railway Station of Kankesanthurai.
Under the direction and guidance of Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander of SF-J, the visit was coordinated with transport facilities, allowing the patients to explore several places in Jaffna.
During their stay, they spent the night at the Nagawiharaya Temple and enjoyed lunch with entertainment programme at the Thalsevana Army Resort. The patients and hospital staff expressed their gratitude to the Commander of SF-J and the staff for their generosity during the two-day visit.
